SPECIALIZED ELDER ABUSE CASE CONSULTATIONS FOR NYC PROFESSIONALS
Consultations Available for New York City Cases
Professionals working with older adults might detect elder abuse but are often unsure of how to assess and assist the victims and their family members. The Center on Elder Abuse Solutions (CEASe) at Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM) has a team of specialists who provide EMDT coordination, case consultation, technical assistance, trainings, and support on a range of elder abuse-related issues. Specialists include forensic accountants, geriatricians, geropsychiatrists, social workers, civil legal providers, and counselors.
Please note: This consultation service is a resource for professionals to clarify psychiatric, medical, legal, forensic accounting, social work, and safety planning questions that emerge when detecting elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation and conducting assessments and interventions on these cases. This consultation service is not focused on treatment or emergencies. For medical emergencies, call 911.
